Jenkins Receives Word Randolph Post Office Agreement Reached, Post Office Will Not Close

TOPEKA – Congresswoman Lynn Jenkins made the following statement after receiving a letter from the United States Postal Service regarding the Post Office in Randolph, Kan.

“Having access to a local post office is very important to folks in rural communities across Kansas. I was pleased this week to receive a response saying a tentative agreement has been reached and that the Randolph Post Office will continue to serve the folks in the area. When I first heard that Randolph may lose its post office, I was extremely concerned and sent a letter to the U.S. Postal Service urging them to reconsider this decision. Although the agreement is tentative, the big winners today are clearly the residents of Randolph. I was elected to represent the interests of folks in eastern Kansas, and I look forward to continuing to work with communities like Randolph across the Second District.”
