Jenkins Accepting Applications for Summer 2010 Internships

WASHINGTON – Congresswoman Lynn Jenkins is accepting applications for congressional internships in her Washington, D.C., Topeka and Pittsburg offices for the summer 2010 term. Applications for the fall are due by March 1, 2010.

“Congressional internships give students a valuable opportunity to learn firsthand about the legislative process and their federal government,” Jenkins said. “Interns work alongside my staff and I on issues affecting Kansas, and I encourage college students to consider applying.”

To apply for an internship, students should submit a completed application form, personal statement, resume, and two letters of recommendation. The personal statement should outline internship goals. Both full and part-time internships are available.

Students are encouraged to call (202) 225-6601 with questions or visit Congresswoman Jenkins website at www.lynnjenkins.house.gov for more information about internship opportunities.
