Jenkins Accepting Applications for Spring 2010 Interns

WASHINGTON – Congresswoman Lynn Jenkins is accepting applications for congressional internships in her Washington, D.C. and Topeka offices for the spring 2010 term. Applications for the spring are due by October 15, 2009.

“Congressional internships give students a valuable opportunity to work with my staff and me on important issues facing Kansans,” Jenkins said. “We’ve seen folks becoming more involved in their government lately, and I think it is very important for our young folks to be involved and understand their federal government. I encourage all college students to consider applying.”

To apply for an internship, students should submit a completed application form, personal statement, resume, and two letters of recommendation. The personal statement should outline internship goals. Both full and part-time internships are available.

Students are encouraged to call (202) 225-6601 with questions or visit Congresswoman Jenkins’ website for more information about internship opportunities.
