Congresswoman Lynn Jenkins Brings Congress to Kansas Tour to Osage and Coffey County

WASHINGTON– Congresswoman Lynn Jenkins has announced that she will continue bringing Congress to Kansas during the 112th Congress by hosting two listening sessions this Friday, August 12, 2011.  Congresswoman Jenkins will first visit Lyndon in Osage County and hold a listening session the Lyndon Community Center located at 204 Topeka Ave from 10:00 a.m to 11:00 a.m.  She will then visit Lebo in Coffey County for a listening session at the Lebo Public Library located at 327 N. Ogden from 11:30 a.m to 12:30 a.m.


“Each time I am able to come back home to Kansas, I enjoy my time traveling our state talking with folks and listening to their thoughts and concerns about issues we face as a nation.  We have some great events set up for this week, and I hope to see some good crowds in Osage and Coffey County to discuss the important debates we have been having in Congress,” Congresswoman Jenkins said.


Since January 2009, Congresswoman Jenkins has held Congress to Kansas events during congressional work periods to keep Kansans informed about what she is doing in Congress. Throughout this year, Congresswoman Jenkins will continue traveling to communities in Eastern Kansas to hold a series of listening sessions and mobile office hours.
