Congresswoman Jenkins to Participate in No Labels' Problem Solvers Coalition Event to Unveil Bipartisan Legislative Package

WASHINGTON– On Thursday, July 18, Congresswoman Lynn Jenkins (KS-02) will join 81 Democrat and Republican members of Congress from both the House and Senate to announce a legislative reform package consisting of nine bills. This first-of-its-kind presentation will clearlydemonstrate the serious goals of the No Labels’ Problem Solvers Coalition and how building trust across the aisle can truly make a difference.

These nine common-sense bills, called the Make Government Work! package, are designed to make government more efficient, effective and less wasteful. Make Government Work! represents the first legislative package by the Problem Solvers Coalition. This first step is key to building trust between lawmakers and restoring the American people’s trust in our nation’s leaders.

“Being a Problem Solver is a logical solution to the dysfunction in Washington. This group includes lawmakers from the far left and the far right, but it is not about compromising our principles, it is about finding common ground,” said Congresswoman Jenkins. “In a divided Washington, neither Democrats nor Republicans can get things done unilaterally. Either we work together to fix problems, or we achieve nothing.”

Congresswoman Jenkins was part of the inaugural group of 24 congressional Problem Solvers No Labels introduced in January. Since then, the coalition has more than tripled in size to 81 members. To learn more about the Problem Solvers or view the full list of members visit NoLabels.org.
