WASHINGTON – Today Congresswoman Jenkins announces she is joining the No Labels congressional problem solvers. This group is comprised of 24 Democrats and Republicans from both the House and Senate who are committed to meeting regularly to build trust across the aisle.

“I am proud to be a part of a group focused on finding common ground, and not simply on taking cheap shots against the other side,” said Congresswoman Jenkins. “Talking across the aisle is the only way we can solve the great challenges threatening the livelihood of Americans and their families.”

“The Problem Solvers group is a big deal,” said No Labels Honorary Co-Chair Senator Joe Manchin. “They can help break the gridlock and blame game that have become so pervasive in Washington, where people have developed an attitude that you’re only worth talking to if you’re on my team – the Ds or the Rs. We’ll prove that ultimately, we’re all on the same team – America.”

“By joining the Problem Solvers, Lynn is proving her commitment to working across the aisle to do what’s best for the country,” said No Labels Honorary Co-Chair Governor Jon Huntsman. “This group is truly patriotic -- its members are putting the country first to solve problems.”   

No Labels is a grassroots movement of conservatives, liberals and everything in between, who are committed to a new politics of problem solving. The Problem Solvers will meet monthly to work together on possible solutions.

“Either we work across the aisle to fix problems or we achieve nothing,” said Congresswoman Jenkins. “With U.S. finances being of grave concern, the Problem Solvers have discussed the need for a public fiscal report to Congress from a nonpartisan official like the Comptroller general. Before we can make decisions about what services the government can and cannot afford to provide, the public needs to know the truth about how much money comes in to the government and where it goes.“

The Problem Solvers group is growing rapidly, and was unveiled in its entirety today at the No Labels Meeting to Make America Work! in New York City. Members include: Sens.
