Atchison Native to Intern in Washington, D.C.

WASHINGTON – Congresswoman Lynn Jenkins is pleased to announce Mary Kuckelman of Atchison, Kansas, is working as a congressional intern in her Washington, D.C. office.

“Mary’s previous work experience and extra-curricular involvement as well as her tremendous work ethic have helped her hit the ground running in my Washington office,” Jenkins said. “I am confident Mary will be an asset to the office and will serve Kansans well.”

Kuckelman will be a senior at Saint Louis University (SLU) in the fall and plans to begin law school after graduating. She has been active on campus as an officer in Delta Gamma sorority and Phi Alpha Theta Honor Society. She has also competed on the SLU Mock Trial team. Mary is the daughter of Jerry and Pat Kuckelman of Atchison.

“I am excited to a part of Congresswoman Jenkins’s Washington, D.C. office. It is a great opportunity to learn more about the legislative process and Congress.” Kuckelman said. “This internship will provide me with invaluable experience for law school. I am appreciative to Congresswoman Jenkins for extending me this opportunity.”
