Hall Welcomes New Jobs to Rockwall

WASHINGTON, DC . . .Last week, the Rockwall Economic Development Corporation (REDC) announced Channell Commercial Corporation’s plans to relocate its corporate headquarters and manufacturing facility to Rockwall, Texas. “This is a move two years in the making that was brought about by Sheri Franza, President and CEO of REDC; Ray Pawley, Rockwall resident and board consultant to Channell; and Bill Channell, CEO for Channell Commercial Corporation,” said Rep. Ralph Hall (TX-04), “and I was pleased to support their efforts.”

“Promoting job creation and economic growth – both in the 4th District and across the country – are my top priorities,” continued Hall. “While I consistently vote on legislation to promote these priorities, it is important that efforts to bring local job opportunities to my constituents go beyond the House Floor. That is why I am pleased Channell’s corporate headquarters is moving from California to Rockwall, Texas.”

“Channell’s decision to relocate in Rockwall builds on the company’s significant commitment to being a world-wide leader in their industry while creating good jobs locally. I have no doubt that it will be a great corporate neighbor for the City of Rockwall and the State of Texas. It’s my pleasure to give them a hearty Texas ‘Howdy’ to our neck of the woods.”

“Ray Pawley was our first key to his friend Bill Channell, and Sheri Franz was never so great. She had super answers for any roadblock from the first da the Channell group made the initial visit to our area. She is awesome.”

“We still have a lot of work to do in an effort to revive America’s job creation and economic growth, but this is a step in the right direction in my district, and I will continue to work to bring new job opportunities to my constituents.”

Channel Commercial Corporation, established in 1922, has many well-known American companies including Verizon, AT&T, Comcast, Time Warner, Cox, and Charter. The development will break ground later in 2014 and is expected to initially create 200 new jobs.
