Congressman Hall Statement on 9-11 and War on Terror

Washington, DC . . .  “Today our Nation remembers those who lost their lives in the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001, as we also remember our fallen and injured soldiers in the ongoing war on terror.

“We honor those who have helped keep our Nation safe from attack since that time, and we are mindful that this fight continues today.  The rise of ISIS and the recent barbaric slaying of American journalists are sobering reminders that the war on terror continues to be a direct threat to America, and we must remain vigilant and determined to protect our homeland.

“I applaud those nations willing to join America in the fight against terrorism.  There is much work to be done to coordinate effective strategies to defeat these terrorists.  At the same time, Iraq continues to need weapons and strategic support to help their soldiers win this battle that threatens their security and future.

“America stands firm in our defense of freedom and our way of life.  Today we remember those who have paid the ultimate sacrifice, and the families and friends of these loved ones.  We also honor all the men and women in uniform who continue to fight on behalf of all of us.”
