Huelskamp Attends Casing Ceremony: Demands Clear Mission, Coherent Strategy, Legal Authorization

Junction City, KS – Today, Congressman Tim Huelskamp (KS-01) attended the Casing Ceremony at Fort Riley's Victory Park.

Following the ceremony Representative Huelskamp issued the following statement:

“What an honor it is to pay tribute to the brave men and women of Fort Riley before they deploy on the ground to Iraq. The Big Red One is a source of pride for our country and our state and I, along with every Kansan and American, am grateful for the sacrifices made by our soldiers and their families. 

“The 1st Division is home to the best trained troops the Pentagon could have chosen to get the job done. That is why they – and the American people – deserve to know the Administration's clear mission, coherent strategy, and firm legal authorization for sending our soldiers on this combat mission.”
