WASHINGTON, DC (LINK) – On Tuesday, June 10 Assistant Democratic Leader Jim Clyburn will testify on the Congressional Black Caucus (CBC) 10-20-30 plan to end poverty at the Committee on the Budget Hearing titled “A Progress Report on the War on Poverty: Reforming Federal Aid”.

WHY: The 10-20-30 plan recommends that at least 10 percent of federal funds in certain accounts be directed to certain areas that have had a poverty rate of 20 percent for the last 30 years. This non-partisan proposal will ensure that federal resources are actually reaching communities most in need to improve the economic and social conditions in these distressed communities that have long struggled with persistent poverty.
