Rep. Paulsen Named “Guardian of Small Business”
Members of Congress recognized for their advocacy on behalf of small businesses

Washington, D.C. – Representative Erik Paulsen (MN-03) was today named a “Guardian of Small Business,” by the National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB), the nation’s leading small business association.

“Small businesses are the backbone of our economy,” said Rep. Paulsen. “It’s a privilege to support Minnesota’s hard working small businesses in Congress, and I look forward to continuing to support measures that will help our nation’s small businesses grow and prosper in the future.”

“In the 111th Congress, Rep. Paulsen proved that he is a champion of small business,” said Dan Danner, NFIB President and CEO. “The Guardian of Small Business Award is a token of the deep appreciation that small business owners have for elected officials who promote and protect their right to own, operate and grow their business.”

The Guardian of Small Business Award is awarded to legislators based on Members voting record on seven key issues in the 111th Congress.

Paulsen, a champion of small business and advocate of free enterprise, entrepreneurship and innovation, is a member of the House Financial Services Committee and co-chair of the House Med Tech Caucus.
