Paulsen: Washington Standing in the Way of Job Creation

Eden Prairie, MN – Representative Erik Paulsen (MN-03), a member of the House Ways & Means Committee, issued the following statement after this morning’s jobs report.

“Today’s report is another reminder of just how anemic our so-called ‘recovery’ has been,” said Rep. Paulsen. “Our economy is simply growing at too slow a rate to replace the millions of jobs that have been lost. Our job creators need certainty and clarity, but for too long Washington has given them neither.

“Washington needs to stop perpetuating policies which stall job creation, such as burdensome and costly regulations, and continuing out-of-control spending – all while the American people face 30 consecutive months of over 8% unemployment.”

Paulsen, a champion of small business and advocate of free enterprise, entrepreneurship, and innovation currently serveson the House Ways and Means Committee, and is co-chair of the Congressional Korea-U.S. Free Trade Working Group and co-chair of the House Medical Technology Caucus.
