Paulsen Statement on May Jobs Report

Washington, D.C. – Congressman Erik Paulsen (MN-03) issued the following statement after the Department of Labor released the May jobs report:

“This morning’s news is further evidence that the economy is not growing fast enough to outpace the jobs being lost.  This is yet another strong indication that we must enact pro-growth economic policies here in Washington to help businesses nationwide. The American people deserve it,” said Paulsen. “I am supportive of a plan that will put Americans back to work by empowering small business owners, encouraging entrepreneurship and addressing the country’s debt crisis. I urge my colleagues in all three branches of government to come together and support policies that will create jobs and grow the economy.”

Paulsen, a champion of small business and advocate of free enterprise, entrepreneurship, and innovation currently serves on the House Ways and Means Committee, and is co-chair of the Congressional Korea-U.S. Free Trade Working Group and co-chair of the House Medical Technology Caucus.
