Former Minnesota Congressman Bill Frenzel Honored on U.S. House Floor

Washington, D.C.– Congressman Erik Paulsen (MN-03) led a special order on the floor of the U.S. House of Representatives honoring former Minnesota Congressman Bill Frenzel on Wednesday night. Bill Frenzel passed away earlier this week. Paulsen, who now represents the same district Frenzel once served, put on display one of Congressman Frenzel’s famous ‘doodles’ that he was known to draw in hearings and meetings.

Members of the Minnesota delegation that spoke included Rep. Rick Nolan (MN-08), Rep. Keith Ellison (MN-05), and Rep. Michele Bachmann (MN-06). In addition, House Minority Whip Steny Hoyer of Maryland and Rep. Kevin Brady of Texas gave speeches recognizing Frenzel. A number of members of the Frenzel family watched the special order from the House gallery. To view video of the speeches, follow this link.

Paulsen, a champion of small business and advocate of free enterprise, entrepreneurship, and innovation, serves on the House Ways and Means Committee, the bicameral Joint Economic Committee, and is co-chair of the Congressional Medical Technology Caucus.
