Erik's Correspondence Corner:

Welfare Work Requirement & the STEM Jobs Act

Washington, D.C. – Representative Erik Paulsen (MN-03) took time this week to answer questions sent in from constituents in Dayton, Minnesota, for this week’s video conversation. Marlene wrote in with her thoughts on the House’s vote to ensure the successful work requirement continues to be a critical part of the welfare program. Douglas wrote in with his thoughts on reforming the immigration system to help the U.S. retain foreign students who graduate with degrees in computer science, engineering, and math.

Each week, Representative Paulsen receives thousands of letters, emails, tweets, Facebook posts, and phone calls from constituents voicing their opinions. Through this video series, Representative Paulsen regularly responds to constituent correspondences on a variety of topics.

Watch this week’s video here.

Paulsen, a champion of small business and advocate of free enterprise, entrepreneurship, and innovation, currently serves on the House Ways and Means Committee and is co-chair of the Congressional Medical Technology Caucus.
