Erik's Correspondence Corner: Energy Policy & Investment Tax Increases

Keeping the lines of communication open with constituents

Washington, D.C. – Representative Erik Paulsen (MN-03) continued his weekly video conversation with neighbors by answering questions sent in from Cal of Minnetonka and Warren and Donna of Maple Grove. Cal emailed Representative Paulsen asking his thoughts on current energy policy and how we can work to be less reliant on foreign energy sources. Warren and Donna, a retired couple on fixed incomes, wrote into the Congressman expressing their concerns regarding the upcoming increase in the dividend and capital gains tax.

Each week, Representative Paulsen receives thousands of letters, emails, tweets, Facebook posts, and phone calls from constituents voicing their opinions. Through this video series, Representative Paulsen regularly responds to constituent correspondences on a variety of topics.

Paulsen, a champion of small business and advocate of free enterprise, entrepreneurship, and innovation, currently serves on the House Ways and Means Committee. He is co-chair of the Congressional Medical Technology Caucus and the U.S.–Korea Free Trade Working Group.
