Erik's Correspondence Corner: American Energy Initiatives & The Trans-Pacific Partnership Trade Negotiations

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: June 22nd, 2012

Erik's Correspondence Corner:

American Energy Initiatives & The Trans-Pacific Partnership Trade Negotiations

Absolutely the direction we need to go: American energy for American jobs.

Washington, D.C. Representative Erik Paulsen (MN-03) continued his weekly video conversation with neighbors by answering questions sent in from John in Eden Prairie and Susan in Plymouth. John emailed Representative Paulsen asking his thoughts on The Domestic Energy and Jobs Act and how we can work to be less reliant on foreign energy sources and lower prices at the gas pump. Susan called into the Congressman’s office this week expressing her concerns that America is not doing enough to increase American competitiveness in the global marketplace.

Each week, Representative Paulsen receives thousands of letters, emails, tweets, Facebook posts, and phone calls from constituents voicing their opinions. Through this video series, Representative Paulsen regularly responds to constituent correspondences on a variety of topics.

Paulsen, a champion of small business and advocate of free enterprise, entrepreneurship, and innovation, currently serves on the House Ways and Means Committee. He is co-chair of the Congressional Medical Technology Caucus and the U.S.–Korea Free Trade Working Group.
