Congressman Paulsen recently traveled to Iraq as part of a Congressional delegation visit, meeting with several Minnesota troops – including members of the 934th Airlifting Wing, and the “Red Bulls” of MN National Guard’s 34th Infantry Division – as well as U.S. military commanders.  During the visit, Paulsen visited Camp Victory in Baghdad, as well a surgical hospital in Balad, where he served deployed troops as part of a shrimp gumbo cookout.   

Paulsen also met with the U.S. Ambassador to Iraq, Christopher Hill, and visited a Mine Resistant Ambush Protected (MRAP) vehicle facility in Kuwait.
