Fox News reports:
Rep. Steve Stockman, a Republican from the Houston area, called Obama's plans to skirt Congress and implement some controls administratively "an unconstitutional and unconscionable attack on the very founding principles of this republic." He also threatened to defund the White House.
...“Not only have so-called ‘gun-free school zones’ proven to be anything but that, they appear to have placed our children in even greater danger. Co-sponsoring the Safe School Act is the first step toward protecting our children,” wrote Stockman.
The retirement of Congressman Ron Paul from the House of Representatives last week did not end the Texas libertarian's influence in Congress. And if the first week of the new Congress is any indication, his influence has only multiplied.
