Jackson, Tenn. – Congressman Stephen Fincher (R-Frog Jump) today released the following statement on Rosh Hashanah, which begins at sundown today:
“I extend my well wishes for a happy and fulfilling New Year for constituents in the 8th Congressional District and throughout the world who will gather with friends and family to celebrate Rosh Hashanah. Rosh Hashanah marks the beginning of the High Holy Days for the Jewish community across the world. It is a time of great reflection, repentance, and renewal for millions of Jews worldwide.
Rosh Hashanah also brings hope that the New Year will see greater prosperity and peace for people across the globe. For our dear friend and ally Israel, I hope the New Year brings a renewed promise for peace and security in the region. America will continue to stand by your side and encourage stability and security in the Middle East.
May the New Year bring many blessing and peace to the state of Israel, the U.S., and all the countries of the world. L’shanah tovah!”
