On Wednesday, Speaker John Boehner and other leaders of the U.S. House of Representatives held a bust dedication ceremony to honor the former Czech President Václav Havel.  In speaking about the Czech playwright who led a national revolution for freedom, Speaker Boehner noted, “you just can’t write a play like this."   

They were joined by Jan Hamáček, the Speaker of the Chamber of Deputies of the Parliament of the Czech Republic, and Bohuslav Sobotka, the Prime Minister of the Czech Republic.  The ceremony took place in National Statuary Hall of the U.S. Capitol and also featured a musical performance by ZZ TOP bandleader and Rock and Roll Hall of Fame member Billy F Gibbons.
