Boustany: "South Louisiana Demands Better."

(Washington, DC) -  Congressman Charles W. Boustany, Jr., M.D., (R-South Louisiana) released the following statement after voting against H.R. 2112, the Consolidated and Further Continuing Appropriations Act of 2012. The legislation would provide short-term funding for government operations through December 16th of this year:

“It’s time for Washington to focus on real solutions and stop with the political gimmicks of ‘mini’ spending bills and continuing resolutions. The American people deserve better. The people of South Louisiana demand better. My vote reflects that.”
