(Washington, DC) -  Congressman Charles W. Boustany, Jr., M.D., (R-South Louisiana) released the following statement urging Attorney General Eric Holder to resign immediately:

“Attorney General Eric Holder has failed to uphold the duties of his office and must resign immediately.  The Attorney General has not been forthright in providing information to Congress relating to the botched program, ‘Operation Fast and Furious.’ The American people deserve more from the nation’s top law enforcement official. His testimony before Congress not only contradicted itself but raised more questions than it answered. This is unacceptable and the Attorney General should be held accountable for his actions.”
