Darrell Issa | Serving California's 49th District

student center

Dear Students,
Thomas Jefferson wrote, “In a republican nation whose citizens are to be led by reason and persuasion and not by force, the art of reasoning becomes of first importance.”  Involving yourself in the democratic processes of federal, state, and local governments can advance your education and is an excellent opportunity for independent learning.  Inside the Student Center, you will find resources to explore Congress and its history, learn how a bill becomes a law, and other facts about our democracy. Also inside, you can read up on current events in our nation’s capital.

One way to get involved and receive first-hand experience is by becoming an intern at either my local Vista, CA office or my Washington, D.C. office. For more information on internship opportunities, please visit my Internship Page.

If you have questions, please e-mail me through my online contact form or call my office at (760) 599-5000.

Sincerely,
