Congressman Sanford Bishop

Representing the 2nd District of Georgia

AN OPEN LETTER AND INVITATION

To the Constituents of the Second Congressional District in the greater Macon area,

First and foremost, it is my absolute pleasure to greet you as your Congressman! It has been seventeen years since my office last served the good people of Bibb County, and I am blessed to be back in Macon once again.

As many of you know, due to the redistricting process, the Second Congressional District of Georgia now includes Macon and other parts of Bibb County.

Many things have changed in the past ten years, but the people of Middle Georgia still strive for better jobs, increased access to education, and greater prospects for their family. As your Congressman, I will do my dead-level best to assist you in opening those doors to better opportunities.

In order to give you direct access to the available resources and services of the Congressional Office, my office will be opening up a new location in downtown Macon. I am honored and downright excited to announce that Opening Day for your new Macon Congressional Office is set for tomorrow!

Come one and come all! We will be holding a ribbon-cutting and open house at our new Macon location on Monday, May 13, 2013 at 11:30 AM. The address is 682 Cherry Street, Suite #302. I look forward to meeting you over time, tomorrow and throughout the future.

Tomorrow’s launch of a third office in the Second Congressional District now opens the opportunity to provide services to constituents who need help navigating the federal government, including issues relating to Social Security, Medicare and Medicaid, veterans’ benefits, military service, and various other matters. Our two other district offices, located in Albany and Columbus, also provide these services to Southwest and Middle Georgia.

Not only does the location of the new Macon office bring the wide range services we provide closer to home for the people and communities of Middle Georgia, but it allows the Office to join the thriving, diverse, decidedly historic cultural identity of Macon. Truly, it is a blessing for my office to be able to call Macon home once again.

I invite everyone from throughout the Second Congressional District to visit our offices, get to know our staff, and to receive assistance whenever you may need it.

Again, I look forward to representing you in the upcoming years. If you have any questions about my views, work, or transition to the greater Macon area, please feel free to contact me or my offices at any time.

With warmest personal regards, I am

Sincerely yours,

Sanford D. Bishop, Jr.

Member of Congress
