Civil Justice Caucus

Medical malpractice, class action lawsuits, excessive litigation, pleading standards, venue reform...  These are just a few of the current issues being debated by Congress that affect our nation’s civil justice system.   
 
The way we handle these issues will have a direct impact on America’s competitiveness in the global marketplace, as well as the ability of U.S. citizens to seek redress in a timely fashion before impartial courts.

In order to keep Members and staff informed about the important policy considerations surrounding civil justice issues, we are launching the bipartisan Congressional Civil Justice Caucus.   

The Civil Justice Caucus will work with Members, staff, and outside groups to gather and disseminate the latest information regarding legal reform and the civil justice system.  It will also provide a forum for discussing and debating the issues in order to help Congress answer the complex problems surrounding our civil justice system.
