U.S. Small Business Administration Disaster Loan Applications
Fact Sheet: Ouachita Parish, October 2014 Storms
Who qualifies:
Homeowners, renters, and businesses of any size, including most private nonprofit organizations and small agricultural cooperatives, in Ouachita Parish and the contiguous Caldwell, Jackson, Lincoln, Morehouse, Richland, and Union Parishes.
Eligibility:
Damaged property must be within the declared parishes, and applicant must be able to demonstrate good credit history, the ability to repay, and adequate collateral if necessary.
Loans:
Home Disaster Loans: Homeowners may apply for a loan of up to $200,000 to repair or replace their primary residence and may also qualify for a loan for repairs to mitigate future risk. Homeowners and renters may also apply for a loan of up to $40,000 to replace damaged personal property.
Business Physical Disaster Loans: Qualified businesses or private nonprofit organizations may apply for a loan up to $2 million to repair or replace eligible disaster-related damages not fully covered or an additional loan for repairs to mitigate future risk.
Economic Injury Disaster Loans (EIDL): Qualified small businesses, small agricultural cooperatives, or private nonprofit organizations that cannot recover on their own may apply for a working capital loan of up to $2 million for economic injury due to disaster.
