(Washington, DC) – Congressman Charles W. Boustany, Jr., M.D., (R-South Louisiana) issued the following statement after the House of Representatives passed H.R. 2775, the No Subsidies Without Verification Act, earlier today:

“Obamacare’s implementation continues to be dysfunctional. This Administration must take responsibility for its failures with this terrible healthcare law. The No Subsidies Without Verification Act combats the fraud Obamacare facilitates. Serving as an oversight measure, this legislation ensures no government subsidies are awarded to individuals as part of Obamacare without first verifying an applicant’s eligibility. Not having such simple safety measures already implemented to preserve credibility in the healthcare law illustrates the careless manner in which Obamacare was passed. Unfortunately, the American taxpayer will continue to bear the burden of that action.”
