Washington, D.C. - Following news that the Susan G. Komen for a Cure Foundation has reversed course and will continue providing grants to Planned Parenthood for their lifesaving work, U.S. Rep. Gary Peters, issued the following statement:

“I’m glad that the Komen Foundation has decided to do the right thing and continue providing life saving grants to Planned Parenthood,” said U.S. Rep. Gary Peters. “Ensuring that women have access to mammograms and breast health screenings is common sense and I will oppose any effort to reduce access to women's health care services for political gain.”

Recently Rep. Peters applauded an Oakland County judge's decision to uphold Planned Parenthood’s right to build a new facility in his Congressional District.
