REP. PETERS ON THE RETIRMENT OF REP. VERN EHLERS
Representatives Served Together on Science and Technology Committee, Jointly Introduced Legislation on Manufacturers
Washington, D.C. – Following Congressman Vern Ehlers announcement that he will retire at the close of the 111th Congress, Congressman Gary Peters, who serves with Rep. Ehlers on the House Science and Technology Committee and has jointly introduced legislation (H.R.4393) to help small manufacturers with Rep. Ehlers, issued the following statement:
“The House of Representatives is losing a dedicated and thoughtful public servant in Congressman Vernon Ehlers. When people say we need more bipartisanship in Washington, what they mean is that we need more Members of Congress like Vern. His commitment to Michigan and his collegial spirit are an example for us all.”
