Peters Applauds February Jobs Report

Unemployment falls to lowest rate since December 2008

Washington, D.C. - In response to today’s news that the nation's unemployment rate dropped to 7.7% in the February jobs report, U.S. Rep. Gary Peters issued the following statement:

“After 36 consecutive months of private sector job growth, today’s news that the unemployment rate has fallen to its lowest level since the end of 2008 is a clear indicator that our economy is moving in the right direction,” said U.S. Rep. Gary Peters. “We still have a lot of work to do to keep our economy moving forward, and Congress should be focused on continuing and boosting this clear trend of job creation.”
