Peters Announces Congressional Art Competition Winner

U.S. Representative Gary Peters today announced Grosse Pointe South High School Junior Zoie Uznis as the winner of the annual Congressional Art Competition. The event, held in April, featured nearly one hundred works of art from local students. Peters congratulated Zoie and her family.

Peters said: “Every year, I’m more impressed by our student artists. The art submitted to the competition showed the breadth of diversity, talent, and imagination of our local students, and all the artists should be so proud of their work. Thanks to everyone who helped make the Congressional High School Art Competition such a success, and I look forward to welcoming Zoie to Washington D.C. to see her winning photograph displayed in the U.S. Capitol.”
