Wednesday afternoon, the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) revealed that only 701 Hoosiers have selected healthcare plans via the failing healthcare.gov website in the first month. In comparison, according to state officials, more than 108,000 Hoosiers have received cancellation notices due to the law.

On Wednesday, the House passed H.R. 3080, the Water Resources Reform and Development Act of 2013 (WRRDA), a reform-minded, fiscally responsible bill that strengthens our nation’s water transportation network by providing transparent oversight, cutting government red tape, and allocating critical funding to support ports and waterways. No such water resources development legislation has been enacted since 2007.

Indiana lawmakers call for health care enrollment numbers

Hoosier lawmakers sent a letter to Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius today requesting information on the number of Hoosiers currently enrolled in the health care exchange. Over the past three weeks, numerous malfunctions and problems have been reported with the website, preventing applicants from successfully enrolling in the health care exchange.
