Where to register to vote

Voter registration forms are available at the Commonwealth Election Commission Office in Susupe, Saipan, or with Election Commissioners in Tinian and Rota. Forms are also available online at http://www.votecnmi.gov.mp/. Persons may also call the Election Commission at (670) 664-VOTE (8683) to have a registration form mailed, or to request more information.

Qualifications to register and vote in the Northern Mariana Islands

A person entitled to register to vote must meet the following:

  • Be a U.S. citizen or national,
  • Be a resident of the Northern Mariana Islands,
  • Not serving a sentence for a felony,
  • Be at least 18 years of age on the date of the next election.
    (A person may register to vote at age 17 if he or she will be 18 on or before the next election.)
  • Has not been declared by a court to be of unsound mind
  • Is not confined to a mental institution
Voter registration deadline

The voter registration deadline is always 60 days prior to an election.
