McCarthy Recognizes America's Naval History Museums
Washington D.C. – Congressman Kevin McCarthy introduced a bipartisan House resolution (H.Res. 984) acknowledging the contributions and importance of official United States Naval Museums throughout America. The 22nd Congressional District is home to the Naval Museum of Armament and Technology at China Lake. The museum preserves and displays unique achievements in naval armament and technology. Displays include the air-to-air AIM-9 Sidewinder missile, cruise missiles such as the SLAM-ER, and a variety of Naval aircraft. In addition, the museum chronicles the important history of the Naval Air Warfare Center, Weapons Division.
Congressman Kevin McCarthy issued the following statement:
“Our national Naval Museums are important for preserving the naval history of our country and play an important role in the overall promotion of our national defense. I am proud that Ridgecrest is home to one of these museums and I hope that Americans from all over the country have a chance to visit the Naval Museum of Armament and Technology at our China Lake facilities.”
