Press Release

Bakersfield, CA – Congressman Kevin McCarthy is pleased to announce that Corporal Evan Morgan, a local wounded warrior, will be joining his Bakersfield office through a new Wounded Warrior fellowship program. Evan will be responsible for conducting outreach to local veterans, active military personnel and military organizations throughout the 22nd Congressional District of California.

Congressman McCarthy issued the following statement:

“I am excited to have Evan join my Bakersfield office to help our local veterans. As a former Marine and courageous combat veteran, I know Evan will bring a tremendous amount of experience and leadership to our communities. Through this fellowship program, Evan will be able to reach out to our local veteran communities and help them get the services they need.  Veterans like Evan, who already sacrificed so much for our country, and now continue to give back, truly represent the strength of America.”

The Wounded Warrior Program (WWP) was established to create fellowships that provide employment opportunities within the House of Representatives and is administered by the office of the House Chief Administrative Officer (CAO).  The WWP was established to provide veterans with experience and exposure to ultimately broaden their scope of transition opportunities.  Positions are available in Member, Committee and Leadership offices in Washington and in district offices nationwide.
