Congresswoman Judy Chu (CA-27), Co-Chair of the Congressional Creative Rights Caucus, released the following statement:

“This announcement is a step forward on combating online piracy. While there is still much work to be done to prevent the unauthorized use of protected artistic works, I am pleased to see private industry taking the initiative to confront this problem head-on. Implementation will be pivotal to the success of this undertaking. I encourage the ad networks to continue collaborating with content owners to protect the rights of our creative communities.”

The Congressional Creative Rights Caucus serves to educate Members of Congress and the general public about the importance of preserving and protecting the rights of the creative community in the U.S.  American creators of motion pictures, music, software, and other creative works rely on Congress to protect their copyrights, human rights, First Amendment rights, and property rights.
