CBC Poverty & the Economy Taskforce 50th Anniversary of the War on Poverty Press Conference

Congresswoman Beatty along with her colleauges from the Congressional Black Caucus Taskforce on Poverty and the Economy held a press conference to commemorate the 50th Anniversary of the War on Poverty speech made by Lyndon B. Johnson.  The War on Poverty led to the creation of critical programs like Head Start, Job Corps, Medicare, Medicade and Social Security.
