Visiting Washington, D.C.

As you may know, this is my final term as your United States Representative.  Although I may be able to help you with Capitol tours for the remainder of this year, for all other tour requests, such as the White House, the FBI, the Bureau of Engraving and Printing, the Department of State, or the Library of Congress, I ask you to contact your United States Senators, Robert Menendez or Cory Booker.

Visiting Washington, D.C. is a unique experience that I encourage all Americans to enjoy.  Our publicly accessible federal buildings are truly an example of the spirit of freedom that our great nation values.  From our national monuments to the many museums located in the city, the United States capital serves as an educational and inspirational site for not just Americans but for all people of the world.

If you are planning a trip to Washington, D.C., I am delighted to try to help you obtain a tour of the United States Capitol building.  The United States Capitol building, the home of the United States Congress, is much more than a federal building.  Perched on a hill overlooking the Potomac River, the Capitol building is a 288 feet tall structure that is a symbol of a government run by its citizens.  In addition to its active use by Congress, the United States Capitol is a museum of American art and history.
