Ellmers Sworn In to 113th Congress

Representative Ellmers Will Serve on the House Energy and Commerce Committee

WASHINGTON – Congresswoman Renee Ellmers released the following statement from her office in Washington this afternoon:

"Today we begin anew in the 113th Congress. I'm honored to continue representing the second district of North Carolina and humbled by the faith the constituents have placed in me. Our nation is facing many serious problems that threaten our economy and individual liberties. I am confident that we will continue to work together and bring real solutions to these important issues over the next two years for the sake of our families, our nation, and its future prosperity."

This afternoon, Congresswoman Renee Ellmers was sworn in for her second term in the 113th Congress. She will be serving as a new member on the powerful House Energy and Commerce Committee and Subcommittees on Health, Oversight and Investigations, and Communications and Technology.
