Over 300 Veterans and Active Duty Soldiers Participate in Career Fair
with More Than 50 Businesses from Across the Fayetteville Area

WASHINGTON – Congresswoman Renee Ellmers (R-NC-02) released the following statement, after this morning's "Recruit-a-Vet Job Fair" in Fayetteville:

"Today my office hosted our second annual 'Recruit-a-Vet' job fair in Fayetteville. We had an impressive number of veterans and current members of the military turn out to meet with local businesses and help with their transition to civilian employment. I would like to thank all of the businesses who participated in today's event and look forward to hearing from so many of the participants on how it has helped improve their lives and careers. We all have a duty to help our veterans make this transition and offer our support to the brave men and women who have sacrificed so much on behalf of our freedom."

This morning, Congresswoman Renee Ellmers hosted a job fair for military veterans at The Crown Center in Fayetteville, North Carolina. Over 50 businesses were on hand to meet with veterans to answer questions, give guidance, and interview for full time employment. Participating employers included the American Red Cross, Campbell University, Lowe’s, Rick Hendrick Toyota, Employment Security Commission, Harnett Health System, Moen, Inc., Saab Barracuda, LLC, Sunbelt, and the VA Medical Center.
