“As a member of the House Small Business Committee, I am pleased to announce the launching of the new ‘Open Mic’ website that will open the lines of communication from small business owners to the Committee like never before. Hearing from small businesses on how government is affecting their company is a vital part of our job. However, not every business owner can come to Washington, DC and appear before the Committee. Small Biz Open Mic changes this."

“If you are a small business owner, we want to hear from you. Your feedback is essential as we move forward in our work to foster an environment that allows small businesses to thrive and create jobs without burdensome government interference.”

Congresswoman Ellmers (R-NC-2) today announced the launch of “Small Biz Open Mic”, a new interactive forum that will allow American small businesses the opportunity to communicate directly with the House Small Business Committee about how the government is helping or harming their business.

The Small Biz Open Mic forum is an exciting new media forum that encourages blog-type comments and testimonials from small business owners across America regarding government policies, and allows participants to comment on Committee news, legislation, hearing information, and stories that relate to small business growth and development. Comments from participants about legislation and policies that impact small businesses will be used to help the Committee conduct its official business.
