“Yesterday evening my office received confirmation that the federal emergency declaration for North Carolina has been amended to include Sampson County. I’m grateful to the officials at FEMA and across the state for taking swift action in declaring a federal emergency for Sampson County after surveying the full impact that these deadly storms have had on the area. The executive order will release federal funds and support through FEMA and will allow necessary supplies and resources to get to individuals and families as quickly as possible. As this crisis unfolds, I will continue to work tirelessly along with my colleagues at the federal and state level to make sure any and all aid is making its way to those suffering during this difficult time.”
