COLLINS CONGRATULATIONS HIGH SCHOOL ROTC PROGRAM

Georgia rep. praises Dawson Co. JROTC on being named top 10% in the nation

WASHINGTON, D.C. –Yesterday afternoon, Representative Doug Collins (R-GA) took a few moments to congratulate the Dawson County High School Junior ROTC Program on the floor of the House of Representatives. In March, the group achieved a Gold Star distinction, placing it among the top ten percent for junior ROTC programs throughout the country. Collins remains an active member of the United States Air Force Reserves, and was proud to see a young group of individuals so dedicated to strengthening our nation’s military and protecting American liberties.

An excerpt from his remarks includes:

“As a member of the Air Force Reserves, I have great admiration for the young people involved in the Junior ROTC in Georgia and throughout the United States. This important program instills the values of citizenship, service and personal responsibility in the next generation of leaders. I anticipate great things from these young men and women in the future, and wish the Dawson County Junior ROTC program continued success.”
