Military Academy Nominations

2014 Academy Day is Saturday, September 20, 2014 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the Georgia Regents University, Maxwell Performing Arts Center, 2500 Walton Way in Augusta.

Instructions

Thank you for your interest in the U.S. Service Academies. As your 12th District Representative in the U.S. House of Representatives, each year I have the privilege of nominating a limited number of people to four of the five service academies. The honor of attending a service academy comes with an obligation and commitment to serve in the military for a minimum of five years upon graduation. For more information, please review my page of Frequently Asked Questions for those seeking a Military Academy Nomination. Your file will not be complete and cannot be evaluated unless all the information is received in the Augusta office by 5 p.m., October 27, 2014.  It is your responsibility to contact the Academy Nominations Coordinator at the Augusta Office listed below to confirm that your file is complete.

The following information should be included in your application packet:

• The completed application below (after filling out , you will have the option to print the completed form), signed and dated
• Picture (no larger than 3 X 5)
• High School Transcript
• Proof of SAT/ACT Scores (include writing)
• List of extracurricular Activities
• 200 word HANDWRITTEN essay
• Three letters of recommendation, one to include rank in class

All information must be received by Congressman Barrow's Augusta Office by 5:00 p.m. on Monday, October 27, 2014.
