Discusses Updates on Continuing Investigation into IRS Targeting

Washington, D.C. – Today, Representative Erik Paulsen (MN-03) joined fellow Ways and Means Subcommittee on Oversight members in questioning Acting IRS Commissioner Werfel on the continuing investigations into the IRS’s targeting of individuals and groups based on their personal beliefs. 
 
“Keeping taxpayer information secure is vital to protect taxpayer privacy and to detour fraud and identity theft – but it’s also the lawHow can groups whose donor information was actually leaked have any confidence that the IRS is going to safeguard that information from public disclosure?”
