Paulsen: The American People Deserve Answers on Benghazi

Joins Bipartisan Call for Select Committee on Benghazi Attacks

Washington, D.C. – Representative Erik Paulsen (MN-03) released the following statement after co-sponsoring H.Res. 36, legislation to establish a House select committee to investigate and report on the deadly attacks on two U.S. facilities in Benghazi, Libya. Wednesday marks the one year anniversary of the terrorist attacks that lead to the loss of four Americans: U.S. Ambassador Christopher Stevens, State Department Information Officer Sean Smith, and two U.S. security officers, and former Navy SEALs, Tyrone Woods and Glen Doherty.

“Tomorrow marks the one year anniversary of the terrorist attacks that killed four Americans in Benghazi, and the administration has still not provided the American people, and the families of the victims, a full account of what lead up to, and what happened, the night of September 11th, 2012,” said Rep. Paulsen. “I had hoped that congressional committee oversight would get to the bottom of the many unanswered questions, but now I believe that establishing a select committee is the only way to find the answers we need.”
