Paulsen Statement on West Bank Kidnapping

Washington, D.C.– Congressman Erik Paulsen (MN-03) released the following statement regarding the kidnapping of three teenagers in the West Bank:

“I’m deeply saddened to learn of the kidnapping last week of three innocent teenagers in the West Bank – including an American citizen. The political overtones of the kidnapping demand action from the Palestinian Authority to assist Israeli efforts to find and locate these innocent victims and reunite them with their families. Terrorism in any form should not be accepted, and violence against children is especially barbaric. The United States has always been deeply committed to the safety of its citizens abroad and its most important ally in that region, Israel. I strongly encourage the administration to use the means at their disposal to find these teenagers and show that these inhumane acts will not be tolerated.”

Paulsen, a champion of small business and advocate of free enterprise, entrepreneurship, and innovation, serves on the House Ways and Means Committee, the bicameral Joint Economic Committee, and is co-chair of the Congressional Medical Technology Caucus.
