Paulsen Statement On Debt Ceiling Vote

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Rep. Erik Paulsen (MN-03), a member of the House Ways and Means Committee, released the following statement after voting against President Obama’s request to raise the debt ceiling by $1.2 trillion to $16.4 trillion:

“We must take immediate action to stop our spending-driven debt crisis,” said Rep. Paulsen. “I voted against increasing the debt ceiling because it is the only means we have left to prevent Washington politicians from spending money we don’t have.”
